New Horizon Presbyterian Church

   New Horizon Presbyterian Church strives to know Christ and share God's love. One of the ways in which we do this is through worship, which is at the heart of the church. It provides an opportunity for the New Horizon family to gather and praise God, offer thanks, contemplate Christ’s teachings and offer prayers and music in God’s name.

   We offer three different services on Sunday mornings, and while each shares the same core elements of Scripture reading, prayer, music and teachings, they all offer a slightly different approach to worshiping God.

     8:00am - This service offers a more traditional setting, but is informal in character.

     9:00am - This contemporary service incorporates music from the Praise Team. It offers a more informal and modern take on worship, often incorporating technology and contemporary Christian music.

     10:00am Christian Education classes are offered for both youth and adults. This is also a time for gathering in fellowship.

     11:00am This service utilizes more traditional hymns as well as music from the Chancel Choir. It is an inter-generational service that provides worship elements that are both familiar and inspiring.

     Nursery care is provided from 8:30am until the end of the 11:00 am service for children ages newborn through 3 years.

     We often refer to the congregation of New Horizon as a family, and that is what we are; a group of people who support each other and offer help and love through good times and bad. We worship together, eat together, learn together and laugh together. And because we are a family, we often look to each other for assistance. As a member of the New Horizon family, you may be called upon to provide food for a funeral luncheon, act as an usher, serve coffee during fellowship time, and participate in a committee. You may ask yourself, “Why did they call ME?” Well, the simple answer is, you are part of our family. Each member of a family has something to contribute to the well being of the whole.

     You don’t have to wait to be called. Find a project or volunteer opportunity that looks interesting to you and sign up. Find out who is organizing it and let them know you would like to help. Or when your phone rings and someone from your church family asks for help, say yes if you are able. The New Horizon family appreciates you!
